Mandala Magic 2015

I was able to finish all of the work for the 12 Stages of the Mandala Magic course I signed up for at the beginning of 2015! We were given an extra month to access all of the course material, and I completed everything on the very last day - January 31, 2016. To be fair, though, I was able to save all of the videos and PDFs, so I can go back and do the lessons any time that I want to, but I knew that if I didn't set a specific deadline for myself, then I would never finish it!

I'm also excited because, for the first time ever, I completely filled in an art journal. When I was finished all of the work, I had 5 pages left at the end. I had an idea of summarizing the lessons for the whole year, including pictures of my completed work, so I started to put that together, and it ended up taking up all of the remaining pages! I prefer to look at the original work, in its original size, but the summarized pages are kind of handy for assimilating everything that I did during this course.

Here are those final 5 pages:

Besides providing some introspection for my own personal growth, I also gained a lot more ideas and techniques for creating future mandalas!

My next goal: Complete an online watercolor class by Dion Dior called Mastering Twinks I. I will lose access to it, and to two more of her classes (Mastering Twinks II and Watercolor Pencils) by June 30, 2016. This time I won't be able to access any of the materials after that date, so meeting my own due dates are very important if I hope to complete all three in time. My hope is to have the first class done by the end of February. I'll talk more about this class in my next post!
