Painting the Feminine 2020

Connie Solera is an amazing teacher! I have taken online classes with her including some of her 21 Secrets offerings, 21 Days of Embody, and others. I also was lucky enough to be able to take a class with her in person in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, Mexico. That was an absolutely fantastic experience, which I followed up with two more weeks of vacation time there when Blair joined me. We have visited Oaxaca City a second time, and have a third visit planned for May, 2021 (moved from December, 2020 due to COVID-19). I have always wanted to take her Painting the Feminine online class but had not found the time to do it, until this year (again due to COVID-19). I loved this class and it was through her gentle guidance that I was finally able to feel myself painting completely intuitively. I've been trying to do this for several years now, and have had minimal success, but this was the first time that I really felt myself let go while painting and simply taking every step one at a time, building on each step, and just following what my instincts were telling me to do. What an exhilarating feeling!

Here are the images that I created in my Painting the Feminine journal, including some that I created after the actual class had ended. Except where noted, all of these images were painted in a 9" x 12" journal.

**********

Well, that's all I've done so far, as I haven't gotten back into this mode of painting in a while (almost 3 months). Hopefully I'll get back at it again soon. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I produced because of this amazing class by Connie Solera, and during this unsettling time of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
